First there was Chariots of Fire. Now there's barrels of fire. In fact, running with a fiery beer barrel on your back has been a tradition in Ottery St Mary in Devon since the 17th century. Now Rob Brown has captured this test of courage (or act of insanity, depending on your viewpoint) in his video for Turin Brakes.

With great photography by DoP Jamie Harding, the slow motion coverage of the 'barrel run' becomes a cinematic tour de force, to accompany the warm complexity of Turin Brakes' The Quiet Ones - which comes from the band's most recent album, Lost Property, released a couple of years ago.

There's a mesmerizing quality to this video - rather like gazing at an open fire in the grate. And similarly, the crowds watching the action seem unconcerned about the fact they are standing so close to these raging flames. It's hypnotic.
