British advertising body Creative Circle has added a new Music Video section shortly before the deadline of its 2018 awards show.
The Music Video section contains eight categories which will decided by a jury of music video professionals headed up by Sony’s VP of Creative Mike O’Keefe. Those categories are:
The video for Kendrick Lamar's HUMBLE., directed by Dave Meyers and The Little Homies, won the Best Music Video award at the 60th Grammy Awards in New York in Sunday (Jan 28th).
The first Shiny Awards, supporting the creativity of up and coming and unsigned directors, takes place in February, and the deadline to enter work is coming up at the end of December.
Nominations have been announced for the 60th annual Grammy Awards, and the Best Music Video nominees are as follows:

Ilya Naishuller's spectacular video for Leningrad's Kolchik (above) won Best Music Video, while the Best Cinematography in a Music Video award went to Dustin Lane for his work on alt-J's 3WW, at Camerimage 2017, the annual festival celebrating the art of cinematography, held last week at Bydgoczsz in Poland.
On the biggest night of the year for music videos, Ryan Staake won Video of the Year for Young Thug's Wyclef Jean, Oscar Hudson won Best Director, Kendrick Lamar won Best Artist, and Semera Khan picked up her first Best Commissioner award from host Adam Buxton (above) at the UK Music Video Awards 2017 last Thursday (October 26th) at The Roundhouse in London.
